Banning of UNRWA will lead to more death and suffering in Gaza

“The UK Government and international community must urgently pressure Israel into reversing this dangerous decision. Gaza is already facing a man-made hunger emergency, with a real risk of famine in the coming months. Children are dying daily of starvation, dehydration, and related diseases. Banning the main organisation responsible for delivering humanitarian aid is unthinkable and can only lead to more death and suffering. 

“World leaders have a legal and moral duty to stop this horror now. There can be no excuses: preventing access for humanitarian aid is a clear violation of international humanitarian law. Governments must apply urgent political pressure to immediately end the violence and compel Israeli authorities to allow UNRWA to operate. The alternative is too dreadful to contemplate.”
